George W. Bush Institute
Democracy is a verb
To celebrate America’s 250th birthday, the Bush Institute is publishing a new series: "Democracy is a verb." It explores America’s core values, the institutions that power our democracy, the people who serve it, and pop culture’s role in it. Sure, we know democracy isn’t technically a verb – but we believe it should be! A healthy liberal democracy depends on action and active citizens – because democracy works only when we engage and participate.
