Freddy Ford is chief of staff of the Office of George W. Bush, where he leads a team who manages the personal, professional, philanthropic, and political affairs of President George W. Bush and Mrs. Laura Bush.
Prior to becoming chief of staff in 2018, Ford has served as deputy director of operations, communications director, and personal aide to President Bush. He is also President Bush’s spokesman, a role he has held since 2011. In addition to orchestrating the Bushes’ private and public appearances and endeavors, the Office of George W. Bush helped launch and consults on the programs and initiatives of the George W. Bush Presidential Center on the SMU campus in Dallas, Texas.
Ford previously served at the White House in the Office of Presidential Correspondence and the National Economic Council during the Bush Administration. A native of LaGrange, Kentucky, Ford is a graduate of Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.
