Celia Siade-Cox serves as Associate, Global Policy at the George W. Bush Institute. In this role she supports the global team’s work in promoting freedom and democracy, with a particular focus on Asia.

She previously worked for the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee in Washington, D.C., where she supported Chairman Ron Johnson’s agenda on biodefense and formulated policy initiatives for the committee as well as the Bipartisan Blueprint on Biodefense. She also had roles in the offices of Colorado Senator Michael Bennet and Colorado State Representative Matt Grey, mainly focusing on immigration and health care policy.

Siade-Cox is originally from Waukesha, Wisconsin, and received her bachelor’s degree in international relations and public policy from the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver, with a focus on international peace, human rights, and security. She earned her master’s in international relations and diplomacy, with a focus on Middle East security, from SOAS, University of London.
