Abbey Batchelder serves as Associate, Global Policy at the George W. Bush Institute. In this role, she supports work to advance free societies, confront authoritarian regimes, and promote democracy around the globe.
Prior to joining the Global Policy Team at the Bush Institute, Batchelder was an Associate on the Development Team at the George W. Bush Presidential Center, providing direct support to the Vice President of Donor Relations and assisting in fundraising activities for the Bush Center. Before her time at the Bush Center, she worked in operations for the Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance helping state, local, and tribal law enforcement jurisdictions promote fair and safe criminal justice systems.
Batchelder has a B.A. in Latin American Studies and Communication Studies from Texas Christian University, and an M.A. in Security Policy Studies from the Elliott School of International Affairs at The George Washington University.
