Bush Center Unveils New Art Exhibit, Scenes from SMU Community and the Bush Center by President George W. Bush

The public is invited to help name the exhibit that captures the heart of this never-before-seen collection.

Dallas, Texas — The George W. Bush Presidential Center announced today that it will open an all-new art exhibit at the George W. Bush Presidential Museum on May 15, 2025, featuring 35 never-before-seen works by President George W. Bush. This collection marks the fifth exhibition of President Bush’s artwork and the first that the Bush Center has hosted since 2022.

The exhibition will be on display in Freedom Hall at the Bush Center through Oct. 19, 2025.

The collection features artwork that captures life across the Bush Center and SMU’s campus, including scenes of visitors from the Bush Center, neighbors enjoying the Laura W. Bush Native Texas Park, fans cheering on the SMU Mustangs, student life, and more.

In a first for the Bush Center, the public is invited to help name the exhibit. Contest submissions are open from April 29 through May 5, with the winning title being announced prior to the exhibit opening.

Credentialed media are welcome to visit the new exhibit the morning of May 15 between 10 a.m. and noon CT. Media should register for credentials at bushcenter.org/credentials by Thursday, May 14, at noon CT. Follow-up instructions, including parking, security sweep arrival time, and more information, will be sent to credentialed media when registration is closed.
